Direct Shipping Laws for Alcoholic Beverages

All wines are sold in California and title passes to the buyer in California. We will arrange for shipment on behalf of the buyer, to an address specified by the buyer, provided that in our sole discretion we believe that such shipment will not subject us to the risk of any sort of legal action or other harm. If a buyer lives in a state where the direct shipment of wine may violate the law, buyer may contact us to discuss shipping options, which options may include provision of an alternative shipping address in a state where the direct shipment of wines to consumers is permitted or storage of the wines at an acceptable and legally compliant third-party storage facility, provided that, in so doing, we would not be indirectly violating the law in our sole judgment.

Due to ever changing direct-shipping laws and regulations, the list of states that we ship to may change at any time.

Non-California residents are responsible for determining if their state or county laws allow wines, spirits or tobacco products to ship into their state or county. Each state or county has their own laws and regulations related to these products. Please check with your appropriate agencies. Each individual accepts responsibility for their state verifications.  We may determine not to ship to any location if we believe that, to do so, would violate any federal, state or local laws.

Shipping Information

Best Bottle, LLC’s affiliate wineries works with FedEx and UPS.  Shipping charges include the cost of handling and packaging. Our shipping prices include packaging materials. You will be notified by email when your wines are shipped. Please note that your order may be held for ideal weather and shipping conditions. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.

We strongly recommend using a work address in which someone over the age of 21 will be able to sign for the package of wine Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.  It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide a current, shippable, physical delivery address. If a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address or after three delivery attempts by the carrier, we reserve the right to charge the applicable carrier fee for rerouting to an alternative address or reshipping to the same address.  If a shipment is returned to our facility, we will not reship until the buyer has provided a deliverable address and paid any return charges or new charges to re-ship.

If a shipment is successfully delivered to the address that has been provided but is not valid for the recipient, we reserve the right to charge the full amount for a replacement shipment if a reship is requested.

You Must be 21 to Purchase Alcohol.

You must be at least 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverage shipments from Best Bottle, LLC’s affiliate wineries. Wine shipments require an adult signature and carriers will not leave a wine shipment on your doorstep.

Wine is a Delicate Commodity

Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Best Bottle, LLC’s affiliate wineries is not responsible for and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.

Returns & Cancellations

We will replace or refund you for any bottle of wine that is damaged, flawed or that the customer finds unsatisfactory. We ask the customer to return the unfinished portion of the original bottle for replacement. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked or flawed. We are also unable to accept return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error. Please send an email to info@WineBestBottle.com to arrange for the return of corked or flawed product.

Once the wine is received we will refund your credit card account for the cost of the wine less shipping and handling. If the original shipment was damaged or flawed you will receive a full refund, including shipping and handling charges.

A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all canceled orders.
